Stories Under A Tent Tour

  • Sue Cowan Williams Library 1800 South Chester Street Little Rock, AR, 72206 United States (map)

Stories Under a Tent: Touring Edition is a distilled version of a larger exhibition currently in development. This traveling iteration offers a glimpse into the heart of the project, bringing its core experience into public spaces ahead of the full-scale exhibition debuting in June 2026.

Set beneath a simple tent, this touring version invites passersby to pause, sit for a portrait, and share a piece of their story. These encounters are brief by design—intimate, unpolished, and rooted in the present moment. While the full exhibition will expand the visual, archival, and narrative scope of the project, this smaller version focuses on the raw exchange between photographer and subject: presence, voice, and memory captured in real time.

Think of this tour not as a finished statement, but as a living preface. It introduces the ethos of Stories Under a Tent—the belief that every person carries a story worth preserving—while allowing the project to grow, listen, and evolve in public before its complete unveiling. What’s shared here is essential, but not exhaustive. The full experience is still unfolding.
